Tour de France 2019
5 days of the best riding riding, great food, wine and company!! We will be doing some of the great routes in the Annecy area and also experience the excitement of the Tour de France when they race past us on Stage 10, at the top of Col de la Colombiere.
Arrive Geneva International airport to depart for Annecy at 12h30. At our hotel we settle in, get the bikes ready and go for a ride around the lake (flattish riding of about 40km) – perfect start to the week!
We head in a southerly direction around the lake and then into the mountains for Col de la Croix Fry (part of Stage 10 of TdF), returning back to the hotel through Annecy. (riding about 95km, 1550m altitude gain)
Today the start of Stage 10 of the TDF is in Annecy with the finish at Le Grand-Bornand. Our route for the day will see us ride to the top of Col de la Colombiere where the peleton will come past. (riding about 93km, 1600m altitude gain)
Our riding for today consists of a loop through the National Park to the west of the lake. (riding about 50km, 750m altitude gain). Have planned an add on to the loop for those that feel like doing a couple more km’s! Dinner included
As we are leaving today, we head out to the west, away from the mountains…. Some undulations along the way but we come back through the Gorges du Val du Fier. (riding about 75km, 1100m altitude gain) We will be back at the airport in the late afternoon.
